Active in the community as an author and teacher, Mr. Griffith currently offers courses at Baruch College in New York and at Bergen Community College in New Jersey. Our President.
Timothy A. Griffith, M.S., ASA is the principal of Griffith Appraisals. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Elmira College, and an M.S. in Real Estate from the Real Estate Institute at New York University. Certified as a General Real Estate Appraiser in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, he has over twenty year's experience in the real estate industry.
USPAP Instructor.
An Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in the American Society of Appraisers, Timothy Griffith is a member of ASA's International Committee, having served recently as Regional Governor for the metropolitan New York and New Jersey chapters, and as President of the Northern New Jersey Chapter. Mr. Griffith is one of just a few appraisers in the Northeast accredited by the Appraiser Qualifications Board of the Appraisal Foundation as an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor. The Appraisal Foundation is the body authorized by Congress to set appraisal standards and qualifications; it is responsible for the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). In addition to providing USPAP instruction, Mr. Griffith teaches at Ramapo and Bergen Community Colleges in New Jersey.

Before establishing Griffith Appraisals, Mr. Griffith was a real estate valuation analyst with the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young, and a property manager for the Edward S. Gordon Company Inc. in New York City. Subsequently, he has consulted for Appraisal Economics Inc. and Advent Valuation Advisors, providing appraisals and analyses for tax appeals, estate tax planning, financing, and insurance.
